About the PROUD MARY
The "Proud Mary" contest has come to fruition (reality). The contest will showcase Women with substance, women with a strong sense of responsibility, enlightenment and positively. Women who have more to what the society expects by default. It is no longer a myth that the female child from the onset has been conditioned in such a way that the society expects, and the same society never hesitate to condemn the woman for meeting such expectation. (Consciously and unconsciously). For a fact, the society is dominated by men but the female folks crave for equality (gender equality) this means that, the same rights accrued (given) to the male folks should not be a luxury for the female folks as well. Today our women have more to offer, they have a promising career, hence the kitchen is not the ultimate place for the woman to end her career. It goes beyond that. For a fact it is a wrong to assert (affirm) that both the male and female gender are the same. Equality is different from gender. Equality means the female folks have careers as well, and also that they aspire to break new grounds, explore and flourish in their diverse area of specialization. Proud Mary is a platform that prides herself to highlight these women and recognize their strengths and showcasing women with substances to the world.
